It Probably Isn’t What You think!

The absolute first thing that I tell my students is that learning video production isn’t going to be easy. It’s absolutely something that sounds easy but in practice it really is not. In order to shoot and edit great quality videos there’s a lot that you have to learn and remember.
It’s because of those levels of difficulty that I teach (some might say that I preach) the importance of work ethic.

Something that my Pops taught me when I was about 10 years old has resonated with me for more than 4 decades. He said “Son, there ain’t nothin’ worth havin’ that ain’t worth workin’ for.” I truly believe that to this day.

In order to do anything well you must really commit to learning the skills and then polish them. My skills are definitely not perfect, they never will be. It’s my goal to be just a little bit better every time I power up a camera or launch my editing software.

You have to put the work in… your best effort is a requirement for success. Your work ethic is the most important tool that you’ll have at your disposal.
